Graphics memory density doubled
Samsung has started shipping samples of its new 64MB GDDR3 memory chip. With transfer rates of 1.6Gbps, this faster, more efficient device will simplify the design process for manufacturers planning to offer 512MB graphics cards in 2005, and beyond. Volume production will begin "early next year".
