Revised AMD chip due in January 2005?
Reportedly AMD plans to announce a vastly improved second-generation A64 90nm processor towards the end of January 2005. The new chip will include such features as SSE3 and DDR2, although it is believed that the latter option will be redundant at first. (Indeed, it has been suggested that AMD may choose to skip DDR2 altogether, and move straight on to DDR3 when it becomes more widely available.)
