AMD Athlon 64 X2 latest
Advanced Micro Devices has lifted the NDA on its Athlon 64 X2 (dual-core) desktop processors. Although general availability is several months away, the firm is simply responding to Intel's recent Pentium D paper launch.
Based on what I've seen so far, most reviewers agree that AMD's X2 chips hold an overall performance advantage when compared to the competing Intel product.
