A Chinese website says that while ATI has produced 16, 24 and 32 pipeline versions of its next-generation R520 chip. Poor yields mean it's possible that only 16 pipelines will be enabled when it's officially launched in October. Latest rumours suggest that the R520's 90nm core will be clocked at 650MHz+ and the card will feature 1.26ns GDDR3 memory operating at 1400MHz.
