AMD, Intel sample new processors
Intel has started sampling one of its new 600-series processors with select clients in Taiwan. The firm's latest Pentium 4 processor features SpeedStep, Execution Disable Bit and Enhanced Memory 64-bit Technology. At the same time AMD's first dual-core Opterons are falling into the hands of a few manufacturers on the island.
